THE GRUMPY DUCK "ANTIQUED" FINISH

Our Antiqued finish is a deliberate, hand-worked process done right on our bench. We apply a durable base coat and carefully work back the top layer so the underlying color naturally bleeds through along the raised edges, sharp lines, and high-handling zones of the firearm. Every piece is finished entirely by hand—giving your shotgun the authentic, heirloom look of decades in the blind while maintaining 100% full-coverage Cerakote protection.

WHY WE SPRAY CERAKOTE

When it comes to custom gun finishes and shotgun upgrades, we don’t cut corners. Grumpy Duck Classics exclusively applies premium Cerakote because it is the toughest, most trusted ceramic coating in the industry. Whether you are dragging your semi-auto shotgun through a freezing Pennsylvania marsh or just want a flawless custom Cerakote pattern, this finish protects your steel against rust, abrasion, and the worst elements. We rely on a true Cerakote finish so your custom shotgun runs hard and looks good doing it.

A NOTE ON ENGRAVING

Precision Laser Engraving

Laser engraving is one of our specialties, but right now it isn’t offered as a custom service or work order add-on. You’ll see it on our own finished pieces and our upcoming line of engraved hunting shotguns,

all featuring 100% original, in-house artwork.

Have an engraving idea anyway? Send us a message. You never know when we might say yes.
