Ordering & Shipping

Do I need a work order before I ship my gun?

Yes. Start by filling out our online work order form. We’ll follow up by email or phone to go over the details and officially accept your job, then email you a completed work order and quote to sign.

Please don’t ship anything until your job is confirmed.

Can I ship my gun directly to you, or do I need an FFL?

We are an FFL (Federal Firearms License) holder and can receive firearms directly from the owner or from another FFL. All shipments must comply with federal, state, and local laws, and you must be legally authorized to own and ship a firearm.

We’ll confirm the right shipping option for your build when we accept your job. See How to Order & Ship for the full shipping rules.

What should I put in the box?

Only the parts we’re finishing, plus a printed copy of your signed work order on top. Make sure the firearm is 100% unloaded, wrap each part in heavy bubble wrap with no metal-on-metal contact, and use a sturdy, unmarked box.

Don’t send: ammunition, optics, sights or mounts, slings, cases, chokes we aren’t working on, or anything not on your work order.

Finishes & Cerakote

What finishes do you offer?

We offer four hand-applied Cerakote finishes: Solid Color, Antiqued, Camo Pattern, and Camo + Antiqued. Each is priced for a stripped stock, a stripped barrel/receiver, or a complete gun. See Services & Pricing for current rates, and tap any price to see an example of that work.

How do I choose my Cerakote colors?

Don’t just guess a color name. Write the exact Cerakote finish name on your work order. We spray Cerakote exclusively and most often use their H Series. Browse colors on the official Cerakote website.

Which camo patterns are available?

For metal parts and complete guns: Treebark, OG Bottomland, MultiCam, and M81 Woodland. For wood stocks: Treebark, OG Bottomland, and M81 Woodland. Every camo pattern is laid out by hand, so each gun comes out a little different.

Wood Stocks, Repairs & Changes

Do you refinish wood stocks?

Yes. We refinish pump and semi-auto shotgun stocks in Solid Color or Camo Pattern. Stocks are stripped with walnut hull blasting and hand sanding before finishing. See Services & Pricing for current rates and build notes.

What happens if you find damage on my gun?

We don’t paint over problems. When wood stocks are stripped, hidden cracks sometimes appear. If we find broken areas or compromised metal during teardown, we’ll bring it to your attention immediately before moving forward. Any repairs are billed at time and material.

Can I change my color or pattern after I ship?

Any changes must be sent to us in writing by email. If you change your camo pattern or Cerakote color after the coating process has started, there will be an additional charge for the redo, and your turnaround will be delayed.

Turnaround, Payment & Return

How long will my build take?

Typical turnaround is 2–3 weeks from the day your parts arrive. Times are never guaranteed, since hunting season and our workload can add time. We’ll confirm your timeline once your gear is on the bench, and we promise to hustle without cutting corners.

When and how do I pay?

When your finish and final safety check are complete, we’ll contact you directly for payment. Accepted payment methods and final pricing will be confirmed on your work order and quote.

How does my gun get back to me?

Once your invoice is paid, we securely pack your finished firearm and ship it back to the address on your work order. Return shipping details and costs will be confirmed on your quote. Because this is a gunsmithing service, an FFL transfer is not required for the return shipment to your door.
